Hello Ontario Craft Breweries, On-Farm Breweries, Master Brewers, and Home Brewers,
We invite you to participate in a research survey to help strengthen the Ontario brewing and hop community. Dr. George van der Merwe and his team at the University of Guelph are leading a study investigating locally produced hop extracts, including chemical composition and sensory characteristics of locally grown hops and beer brewed with those hops, while Dr. Peter Ghattas focuses on the supply chain, cost structures, and overall feasibility of integrating Ontario hop extracts into the craft beer sector.
The research team has created a 20–25 minute survey, and your insights will guide important recommendations for the craft beer industry. Before you begin, it is recommended to have your production cost data handy (e.g., costs per litre or per batch for ingredients, labour, or equipment), as this information will make it easier to complete the survey. Participants will also receive early findings, offering valuable insights you can use to enhance your brewery operations.
Please follow this link to complete the survey:
Please complete by no later than this Friday, March 28th.
