Registration is now open for the OMAFRA Hazelnut IPM workshop.
This year, most of the OMAFRA IPM workshops are going online! In particular, the Hazelnut IPM workshop will be offered via pre-recorded presentations on key insect and disease pests posted on the ONhortcrops YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJr20gvrwcOzO-Xr20OAu3A).
Hazelnut-specific presentations will be available for anyone to access after May 6, 2020. Additional video resources from other OMAFRA horticulture specialists will also be available on this channel throughout the season.
On Wednesday, May 13th from 1:00–2:30 pm, join OMAFRA specialists Melanie Filotas and Todd Leuty for a Hazelnut IPM webinar where we will discuss orchard scouting techniques for hazelnuts, resources as well as an overview of key pests to look for over the next few weeks. Remaining time will be devoted to answering any pest-specific questions regarding the pre-recorded presentations, so participants are encouraged to view presentations prior to this online session.
