The 2020 Ontario Fruit & Vegetable Convention (OFVC) takes place on Feb 19-20 at the Scotiabank Convention Centre, 6815 Stanley Ave, Niagara Falls, Ontario.
This year the OFVC will feature both the Annual General Meeting of the Ontario Lavender Association at 10:30 am on Feb 20th followed by a lavender speaker session on Selling Lavender starting at 2 pm.
The lavender session will focus on product diversification and marketing through social media with the following speakers:

The Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Convention is an excellent opportunity to learn from experts, industry representatives and other growers on a wide range of topics related to growing horticultural crops in the field. Are you new to farming? Check out the “Farming Basics for New Fruit and Vegetable Growers” session all day Wed., Feb. 19. Need tips on how to manage staff on a farm that is open to the public? This year the theme of the Ontario Farm Fresh Marketing Association sessions on Feb. 19 and 20 is around staffing and managing customers. Other sessions that may be of interest to lavender growers include Business, Transitioning to Organic, Farmers Markets Ontario, and General Labour.
The Convention also has a large trade show that includes equipment dealers, mulch and row cover suppliers, irrigation suppliers, financial institutions, packaging and much more.
